Stavanger is a big municipality and therefore it offers it citizen’s a handful of bicycle routes. The point of this project was to make citizen’s more aware of the existence of these routes and encouraging them to take the bicycle to work and let the car stay in the garage. We were given the task to create a poster & a interactive website for this campaign. The colours for these two are inspired by the coat of arms of Stavanger. The style is based on traffic icons, since most of the bicycle routes are beside the road. The website informs of all routes in detail & also includes self-written articles such as “Why is biking good for my health” & “Why biking saves you a lot of money”. The Poster reads: “No toll, No traffic jams, No emissions”. This headline talks about the current car-toll crisis in Stavanger, the bad traffic system in Stavanger which causes traffic jams, and the all the emission a car causes. But the biker of course, doesn’t experience any of these issues, and therefore drives home peacefully.
